Here is a new book out by Jud Wilhite (www.centralchristian.com) and Mike Foster (www.ethur.org) and you have to grab it – buy it – steal it – however – just get it. Deadly Viper Character Assassins is raw – in your face – honest journey through the subject of Character. It will kick your #$(*& in many different ways and make you aware of areas in your life that you need to pay attention to. Here is a new resource from the team at Life Church. It is a great online collaboration tool for studying the Bible. I have had a few minutes to mess around with it . . .and seems to be extremely easy and effective. My only hope . . .get more translations like the NLT!!

It doesn’t matter the size of your church – 100 -1000 – 10,000 . .. this principle is the same. The formula for church is growth is the same. You build/grow a church . . .1 life at a time. If people feel personally connected, they will stay and be a part. If people feel like they are just a part of the "masses" . . .then they won’t stay.

Robert on your staff. He has hung in there trying to get my son involved with
the High School Ministry. Two weeks ago, immediately after church service,
Robert checked with Will on which High School he attends. Then Robert asked
Will to attend a small group made up of students from Foothill. Will attended
the small group home last night. Will informed me that he will be going back
next week and even Halloween night. I asked him why he liked it so much, he
said, “I felt accepted.” My goodness Bill and I were so encouraged and happy
that Will has found a home. Thanks for having such a caring
staff!

The first Central Uncensored kicked off this weekend. The heartbeat of Central Uncensored is to gather church leaders and learn from each other. There were over 41 church leaders from around the world (yeah . . .we had one pastor from Australia . . .so I guess this is "international". The schedule is very simple and strategic. As a leadership team we asked a simple question: What do we value most about conferences and what don’t we like. Overwhelmingly . . . we valued round table discussion. High application. Asking the "why" questions. Getting into the weeds of what is working and what isn’t working. So, that is how it is set up. We desire to link arms with christian leaders who want to impact the culture in which God has given them to change.
